EGL ( Elektrizitats-Gesellschaft Laufenburg AG) is a Swiss energy trading company that buys and sells electricity, gas, and energy-related financial products.

With headquarters in Laufenburg , Sweden , EGL also is located in 16 European countries, including these in Southeast Europe: Albania, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.

EGL has been in Southeast Europe for more than 20 years. It recently proposed building a gas pipeline through Albania. The company is focusing on building its own production capacities throughout Europe, and it has recently expanded its trading activities in Spain and Portugal.

In the 2004-2005 fiscal year, EGL had profits of 124.5 million Swiss francs or €78 million.
