VA Intertrading (VAIT) is a commodity trader with an annual revenue of almost 1 billion Euros in 2015. The company received €406,000 through Laundromat from Westburn Enterprises in late 2013. In the same year, VAIT's ownership structure changed: Calexco S.a.r.l., a company owned by Ukrainian oligarch Kostyantin Zhevago, bought 38.5 percent of VAIT from the formerly state-owned Voestalpine and became its biggest shareholder. At about the same time, another shareholder sold his VAIT shares: Russian-born German citizen and – according to media reports – former billionaire Vladimir Iorich. VAIT's CEO, Karl Mistelberger, refused to discuss the Laundromat transactions with reporters.
