Petrof is a Czech piano manufacturer. The company received a single payment of $81,500 from a Laundromat company, Caldon Holdings, in October 2013, with “equipment electric tools” listed as the reason for the transaction.

Petrof’s director, Zuzana Ceralová Petrofová, denied any knowledge of Caldon and said the company had never done business with them. However, after seeing the details of the transaction, she explained that Petrof had received the funds “as payment for our pianos, ordered and taken by our long-term partner, Zona Zvuka, from St. Petersburg. We did not investigate where the payment came from.”

Zona Zvuka, a supplier of musical instruments, is well-known among musicians. Its owner is a businessman named Denis Vladimirovich Patyaev. The company won 24 government tenders in 2012 and 8 in 2013 to supply instruments to schools, kindergartens, theaters, and cultural centers.

Zona Zvuka did not respond to requests for comment.
