The Power Brokers is a joint project of the Romanian Center for Investigative Journalism, the Center for Investigative Reporting in Sarajevo and investigative journalists in Albania and Bulgaria. It is supported by the generous assistance of SCOOP, a network for investigative journalists in East and Southeastern Europe. SCOOP offers financial support for journalistic investigations in the region. SCOOP was founded by the Danish Association of Investigative Journalism to support investigative journalism in the transition countries in Europe.

The journalists who participated are Alison Knezevich, Sorin Ozon, Eldina Pleho, Altin Raxhimi, Paul Christian Radu and Stanimir Vaglenov. It was edited by Rosemary Armao and Drew Sullivan.
