Slavco Georgievski received $38,450 from Metastar Invest in August and September 2012.
Georgievski is a former Macedonian footballer who played for Neftchi Baku (2010-2012) and then for Inter Baku (2012-2015). Inter Baku’s ex-president Jahangir Hajiyev ran the International Bank of Azerbaijan before he was sentenced to prison in 2016 for embezzlement and abuse of office.
The transfer fee to Inter Baku was listed as free of charge.
Georgievski told OCCRP that he doesn’t recall the name Metastar and that he had a normal working relationship with Inter Baku. “I just signed the contract but they (the club’s representatives) handled everything,” he said.
He is currently an assistant coach for the Macedonian team Rabotnicki.
