A U.S. district court has sentenced a key member of a drug distribution ring linked to the Aryan Brotherhood, an American neo-Nazi white supremacist prison gang, to 14 years in prison for drug trafficking and possession of firearms, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) said Monday.Â
The sentencing comes two years after Michael Slocumb, 46, was arrested in the state of Arizona in March 2023 as part of a broader sting targeting the prison gang’s drug operations in Washington and Arizona. Authorities described Sloclumb as a “key member of a drug distribution ring selling fentanyl pills, methamphetamine and heroin.”Â
The arrest followed a major raid in 2022 on a drug stash house in Shelton, Washington, after Slocumb was recorded discussing plans to move his drug operations to Arizona.
During the raid, authorities seized more than 640,000 fentanyl-laced pills, a kilogram of fentanyl powder, and 12 kilograms of methamphetamine, along with more than $81,000 in cash. Authorities also confiscated 23 firearms from the property.Â
Investigators said Slocumb frequently traveled to Arizona to pick up drugs and transport them to the Shelton stash house, where he used two pill presses to manufacture fentanyl pills.Â
Authorities arrested Slocumb in 2023, along with drug ring’s leader, Bryson Gill, as part of a major drug distribution crackdown involving ten SWAT teams. Slocumb and Gill were taken into custody, while Slocumb was staking out a rival drug dealer’s apartment with plans to kidnap him, according to investigators.
During a search of Slocumb’s property in Arizona, authorities seized 70 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Slocumb pleaded guilty in November 2024 to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
Gill is scheduled to be sentenced on May 9, 2025, after pleading guilty in February to the same charges, along with conspiracy to commit money laundering.
