Unirea - Urziceni

Established in 1954, Unirea is owned by Unirea Valahorum SA.

Club President Mihai Stoica, known as “MM,” is being investigated by prosecutors looking into player transfers to South Korea.

Companies owned by Dumitru Bucsaru who has invested in the club came under investigation in 2005 for various financial illegalities. Bucsaru is so close to Romanian President Traian Basescu intervened in July 2005 with the Ministry of Transportation on behalf of a Bucsaru company.
