OCCRP Website Redesign: Project Brief

Feature
July 15th, 2013

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) is a not-for-profit, joint program of a number of regional non-profit investigative centers and for-profit independent media stretching from Eastern Europe to Central Asia.

We require a complete redesign of our website https://reportingproject.net. Our main aim is to make the site more visually appealing and easier to navigate, and to better highlight our most important content. You will create a new design, and work closely with our developer to implement it.

The design should support mobile browsers, using responsive design with HTML5.

The site is currently implemented in Joomla. We do not anticipate a full replacement of our backend, but some changes will likely be required to support the new design. Experience with Joomla is helpful, but not required.

The project is open both to companies and to individual freelancers.

We are based in Sarajevo, but this project can be completed remotely. Prompt communication (via Skype, email etc) will be required.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Excellent web design skills

  • Expertise in User Experience and usability design

  • Good security practices

  • Developers are experienced, reliable, and will be available for future maintenance work if required
