US: 39 Gang Members Arrested

Thirty-nine people, most members or affiliates of the Bloods gang, were arrest in Staten Island by New York City police, according to a, a press release from the Richmond County District Attorney.

US: Bulger Found Guilty Of Murders And Other Crimes

A federal jury this week convicted James "Whitey" Bulger of 31 out of 32 counts he was indicted on, including 11 murders.

Bulger spent 12 of his 16 years on the run on the FBI's Most Wanted List before his arrest in 2011.

China: More than 1,000 Arrested For Snatching Digital Information

Chinese police arrested 1,213 suspects for snagging personal information frequently used in identity theft, according to statement released Sunday by the Ministry of Public Security.

A total of 1,327 cases of information stealing was solved, 700 million pieces of personal information were seized, and 468 gangs were broken up in the operation involving more than 20 public security offices, according to China Daily.

Togo: Boss of Ivory Trade Arrested

High-profile Togolese ivory trafficker Emile N'Bouke, 58, implicated others following his arrest Tuesday with more than 1,500 pounds of ivory, claiming that he possessed a "special permit" and was a "victim of injustice".

N'Bouke, known as "The Boss" of Togo's ivory trafficking, is suspected in the slaughter of thousands of elephants over the past 40 years.

Custom officials in Hong Kong seized more than 1,000 parts from endangered animal in a shipment from Nigeria on Tuesday, including 1,120 ivory tusks, 13 rhino horns, and five leopard skin pelts.
