2024 Campaign

The fight for truth

In 2024, investigative journalists are under attack like never before — facing surveillance, harassment, and even death just for doing their jobs. With your support, we can keep them safe and ensure their stories are told.

"2024 is one of the toughest years journalists have ever faced," as OCCRP Publisher Drew Sullivan notes. From digital harassment to emergency evacuations, the risks are everywhere — and so is the urgency.

OCCRP protects the lives of our reporters and their sources. But we can’t do it alone. Bad actors can spend anywhere between a few hundred thousand to several million dollars targeting a single journalist or outlet. We have limited funding and capability to match those resources.

Hear our Editor-in-Chief Miranda Patrucic share details.

Here's how your charitable contributions can make a difference:

Your contribution will be added to our journalism security fund and used to increase security for our global network of hundreds journalists and 70+ media outlets.
