The smallest Laundromat payment in Austria may also be the most mysterious: On Oct. 25, 2013, Kedassia Ltd. transferred €1,792 from an Austrian bank account supposedly owned by “Handelsgericht Wien” – the commercial court of Vienna. The purpose of the transaction says “for clothes.” When asked about the transaction, a court spokesperson said that the bank account was not theirs and therefore he could not comment on the payment. He provided an official account number which is, in fact, not the one from the Laundromat data.

The true nature of the transfer remains unknown.
