Mexican drug cartels are infiltrating the ranks of U.S. border patrol agents in order to secure illegal passage for immigrants, according to the FBI.

"They're using Cold War-style tactics: Money, sex, drugs to convince officers to work with them, and to help get their products and their people across the border," said Special Agent Terry Reed, part of the FBI's ever-expanding operation working to root out corruption.

A report by the Government Accountability Officepointed out an increase in arrests and documented corruption cases among border and immigration agents, with nearly 150 arrested for corruption since 2005.
