European authorities busted a complicated tax evasion network in Belgium that involved Chinese exporters suspected of putting in place a complex system of evading VAT and customs on imported products aimed for the European Union’s market.

Russia Detains US Journalist on Suspicion of Espionage

Russia’s main security agency said Thursday it detained a reporter for The Wall Street Journal on suspicion of espionage in the interests of the U.S. government. It’s the first time since the Cold War a U.S journalist has been taken into custody under allegations of espionage in Russia.

A Swiss court Thursday found four bankers from Gazprombank’s Zurich branch guilty of failing to conduct proper due diligence checks into their clients’ source of income, specifically into how the infamous Russian musician Sergei Roldugin, widely known as one of “Putin’s wallets,” has made his money.
