In a multi-country crackdown on illegal wildlife and timber trade, police around the world identified nearly 1,000 suspects in a month-long operation and seized thousands of live animals, animal parts, bushmeat, timber and derivatives such as clothing, beauty products, food items, traditional medicines and handicrafts.
