Studio head Nino Zuriashvili was honored for her three-part TV documentary series on the economic, social and environmental problems of the silicomanganese industry in Georgia. The investigations were aired in Georgia by Maestro TV.

Past Studio Monitori winners have included Nana Biganishvili (2012) and Nana Naskidashvili (2013).

Special awards for innovation in investigative journalism were given to OCCRP partners Lasha Kveseladze (data) and Nino Bakradze (multi-media presentation).

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Josh Friedman presented the awards at a roundtable conference at the Frontline Club in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Friedman Prize is awarded by Columbia University in New York City in cooperation with the European Journalism Centre.
